Peek at the Week #12

Garden

We were so excited to pick our first vegetable out of the garden! Our students had fun picking and eating lettuce straight from the garden. We are still waiting on our radishes, carrots, and snap peas. It’s been fun to watch all the growth from those tiny seeds!

3’s

This week was our first week of easing into Christmas! What better way to start the season then learning about the letter “S” and stars. We loved hearing about the Christmas Star and learning how important it was on the night Jesus was born. Our 3s had fun with their star and snowmen art.

Look at that strong work! Sorting and counting objects are such important early math skills!

PreK

Our PreK students also had fun with everything “S”. They learned about star constellations, and even made some of their own. And how cute are those snakes? Students worked hard on coloring and cutting their snake. Cutting the spiral was tricky, and they were so proud of their snakes when done!

We couldn’t end our “S” week without Skittles! Our PreK students sorted, graphed, counted, and compared the colors of their skittles. The best part? Getting to eat them!

Lunch Bunch

Our Lunch Bunchers LOVED making these adorable snowmen after reading “Snowballs”. Many of the students came to class the next day telling their teachers all about the snowmen they made out of socks!

What a great week! We hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
