This week in chapel we heard the story of David and the lions and learned the letter O. Both lead to great activities!
3s
Our 3s classes had a great time making a lion’s mane out of squares and by using an ABC pattern. They even pained one using a toothbrush! Any time you do a “typical” activity in a “non-typical” way (like using a toothbrush to paint), the children love it!
Making lion dens out of legos!
Our 3s used their imagination to turn an “O” into a dog. Standing while drawing is a great way to use different muscles. Any time you can have your child draw or play on their bellies, stand while drawing or painting (even painting with water on your block wall) is a great opportunity for them to develop their fine and large motor muscles.
We also celebrated the letter O with orange day!
PreK
Making “ABB” lion patterns!
Our PreK students did a great job following directions on this multi-step ocean project. They were amazed that if they colored hard, they could paint over the crayon and it would still show!
How cute are these octopus windsocks?! Did you know that an octopus has 3 hearts and can change color?
We loved these adorable owls! Students painted with celery to complete this project!
Lunch Bunch
After reading “Hey, Little Ant”, our lunch bunchers had so much fun making these adorable ants!
We hope everyone has a great week!
