Peek at the Week #19

This week, we took a look at the letter “Xx”, heard in CHAPEL about the Good Samaritan, and started to talk about how to keep our hearts healthy.

Our monthly missions are a great way for us to put our chapel lessons in action. During the month of January, we collected donations for “Friends For Life” animal rescue. Thank you to all who contributed!

It is always fun to work out our fine motor muscles and imaginations! After reading 6 sticks, we thought about what we could turn 6 sticks into. Everything from whiskers, swings, flags, and even houses. It is always fun to see our students’ imaginations working!

We worked on shapes this week! We loved working on our shape books and making shape collages.

With Valentine’s right around the corner, we started talking about ways to keep our hearts healthy. It was fun to do some healthy heart checks for dramatic play.

PreK

It was a busy week in PreK!

We made an X-Ray of our hand for the letter “Xx”

How fun to discover hidden letters while painting! This is a great way to practice letter recognition without our students even knowing it. When they “found” a letter, they would shout out “I found S!”.

How cute are these family portraits?

Eating chocolate while doing math is a must! It was fun to uses Hershey Kisses to measure some of our school supplies.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a fun Super Bowl Sunday!
