What beautiful weather we had this week! We all have been enjoying our outside time and kept busy inside. This week we celebrated Valentine’s Day and learned how to keep our heart healthy!
Lunch Bunch
Our Lunch Bunchers made these adorable tissue paper heart decorations!

How sweet are these heart caterpillars?! It is so fun to take our class name (The Caring Caterpillars) and turn them into a heart bug!
What makes our hearts happy? Students would show their happy hearts for things like exercising, eating a variety of foods, and being kind. They would hold up the sad hearts for things like not being kind or helpful.
After reading the book “Heartprints”, we had fun stamping our own heart print art.
Playing cards are a great tool for number recognition. Add a clothes pin to put matches together, and you are also working out those fine motor muscles!
PreK
During center time, all students have the opportunity to play in dramatic play centers. The theme of the center changes every couple of weeks. This week, students in the Brave Butterfly class enjoyed playing post office!
More adorable class heart bugs! (Helpful Honeybees and Brave Butterflies)
We worked out the muscles in our fingers by placing stickers on a heart outline. It was fun to see how many stickers it took!
Our Bible Verse this month is “Love one another as I have loved you” John 15:12. It was fun to see all the different heart gardens students created for this verse.
Our classes couldn’t wait to celebrate Valentine’s together! We passed out Valentines, had a “heart healthy” Valentine’s snack, and fun Valentine themed centers.
We hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day, and a wonderful three day weekend!
